PayLease Raises Money for Special Olympics in the Lake Tahoe Polar Plungefest

PayLease, a leading provider of electronic rent payments for the property management industry, today announced it raised $2,330 for the Special Olympics of Northern California/Nevada through participation in the 2014 Polar Plungefest.

PayLease co-founder, Yann Phung, plunged into Lake Tahoe in exchange for donations made to Special Olympics. Thanks to donations made by PayLease employees, Phung was the third highest fundraiser for the event, which raised a cumulative total of $30,000.

Plungers, which include individuals, companies, law enforcement, families and schools, are asked to raise a minimum of $125 – which provides one season of sports instruction and competition at no cost to the Special Olympics athlete. The Lake Tahoe Polar Plunge raises funds that directly allow Northern California & Nevada Special Olympics athletes to participate in regional, national and international competitions.

Phung commented on his participation by saying “I think the Polar Plungefest is a great cause as it provides special needs kids an opportunity to participate in athletic activities that will make them feel good about themselves. I am so thankful everyone at PayLease who generously donated their personal funds to help make this event a success.”

PayLease also supports Fresh Start Surgical Gifts, a San Diego non-profit organization that provides reconstructive surgery for disadvantaged children with physical deformities. PayLease will be hosting its 4th annual charity golf tournament June 14, 2014 at Maderas Golf Club in San Diego, CA. All proceeds from the event will provide medical procedures and travel expenses for Fresh Start patients, located in all corners of the world.
